Upcoming Networking/Educational Event - Inside the Arizona Legislature: An AZ WLG Capitol ExperienceJoin Arizona Women Leading Government for a unique behind-the-scenes experience at the Arizona State Capitol. This event is designed to help public sector professionals better understand how the state legislative process works and how local governments engage with state policymakers.
Participants will hear an overview of Arizona’s legislative process from the League of Arizona Cities & Towns, followed by insights from Katy Proctor, Intergovernmental Affairs Director for the City of Maricopa, who will share how local governments work with legislators during the legislative session and discuss her career in government affairs. The program will also include a Capitol experience, where attendees will have the opportunity to tour the capital. The event will conclude with a networking lunch, providing time to connect with fellow public sector professionals.
